Frequently asked questions

Find answers to the most common questions below.

Do I need a prescription to order glasses?

You only need a prescription if you are ordering prescription lenses. Frames, sunglasses and non-prescription lenses can be ordered without a prescription.

How do I order prescription glasses online?

Choose your frame, select your preferred lens type and enter the prescription details requested during the ordering process. Review your information carefully before completing your order.

What prescription information do I need?

You will typically need the SPH (Sphere), CYL (Cylinder) and AXIS values for each eye. Depending on the lenses you choose, additional measurements may be required.

What is PD and why is it important?

PD stands for pupillary distance – the distance between the centres of your pupils, measured in millimetres. It helps us position your lenses correctly in front of your eyes.

Can I order glasses without vision correction?

Yes. Many FOOCUS frames can also be ordered with non-prescription lenses.

What is the difference between standard and thinner lenses?

Standard lenses are suitable for many lower and medium prescriptions. Thinner lenses use a higher-index material, which can make the lenses thinner and lighter, especially with stronger prescriptions.

What are blue light lenses?

Blue light lenses include a filter designed for use with digital screens. They can be selected with or without vision correction, depending on the available lens options.

What are photochromic lenses?

Photochromic lenses remain clear indoors and automatically darken when exposed to suitable UV light outdoors.

How do I choose the right frame size?

Check the measurements shown on the product page and compare them with a pair of glasses that already fits you well. Frame measurements usually include lens width, bridge width and temple length.

What if I enter my prescription incorrectly?

Contact us as soon as possible. Because prescription lenses are made specifically for your order, changes may no longer be possible once production has started.
